Indian batsman Sarfaraz Khan met with a disastrous run out during the third IND vs ENG Test match. Sarfaraz is playing his debut Test match for Team India and he got run out due to Ravindra Jadeja’s mistake. Ravindra Jadeja called for a single and took a couple of steps down the wicket but denied the run. However, till then Sarfaraz had come halfway down the pitch.
At last, the ball went to Mark Wood as he hit a bullseye at the stumps. Sarfaraz Khan had no chance to return to his crease and was dismissed for 62 runs from 66 balls. Indian captain Rohit Sharma showcased his frustration by throwing his cap in the dressing room.

Sarfaraz Khan earned the reward for his magnificent performance in domestic cricket and smashed fours and sixes from the ball in one of his innings. This was also the fastest half-century by an Indian batsman on Test debut and achieved the mark in 48 balls.
India were able to finish Day 1 of the third Test match for a score of 326/5 in 86 overs. Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav were unbeaten on 110 and 1 run respectively.
The start of the Day 1 was not easy for the hosts as they lost their first three wickets for a score of 33 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill, who had scored 209 and 104 runs in the second Test match were dismissed cheaply for 10 and 0 runs. Rajat Patidar was also not able to do much and he walked back after scoring 9 runs.
Soon, after the early damage, Indian captain Rohit Sharma and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja stood up to the occasion and the pair added 204 runs from 329 balls for the fourth wicket. Rohit scored 131 runs from 196 balls with 14 fours and three sixes and smashed the 12th century of his Test career. On the other hand, Jadeja also reached the three-figure mark and smashed the 4th ton of his Test career. This was Jadeja’s second century at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
Ravindra Jadeja added 77 runs from 110 balls for the fifth wicket and provided the much-needed boost to the Indian team. India now would be aiming to add more runs to their overnight score on Day 2 and strengthen their place in the match.
In place of Shreyas Iyer, KS Bharat, Mukesh Kumar, and Axar Patel, the Indian squad included Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel, Mohammed Siraj, and Ravindra Jadeja. Test debuts for Sarfaraz and Jurel were awarded to them as a reward for their outstanding domestic cricket performances.
Before the third IND vs ENG Test match, the inexperienced Indian middle order has not been playing at its best. The absence of KL Rahul and Virat Kohli from the Indian squad has prevented the hosts from batting to their full ability.
In the current Test series, England has also provided the hosts with fierce opposition. While Ben Stokes, the Indian team’s skipper, made smart choices in both games, the visitors have competed with them in every area. Additionally, England’s batters have performed admirably against Indian spinners; one such example is Ollie Pope’s 196-run innings in the first Test match, which contributed to England’s victory.
