India batter Yashasvi Jaiswal continued his dream run in the ongoing Test series against England as played stellar innings in the ongoing 5th game. The last game of the five-match Test series between the teams is taking place at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala.
After India bundled out England for just 218 runs, openers Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal provided India with a solid start. The young opener at first blocked the balls well and then brought out his aggressive best, taking the bowlers to the cleaners.
Yashavi Jaiswal targeted Shoaib Bashir and slammed him for runs all over the park. The batter didn’t allow the off-spinner to get settled at all. He hit him for boundaries and sixes, entertaining the crowd at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala.
However, Yashasvi Jaiswal got carried away and ended up giving his wicket away. After hitting two boundaries on the second and third ball of the 21st over, the batter attempted to hit a big six on the fourth ball of Shoaib Bashir’s over.
Yashasvi Jaiswal walked down the track to the delivery by Shoaib Bashir that on the short length and line was wide of off stump. The batter missed the ball completely and was stumped. However, what caught the attention of many was the aggressive celebration of the off-spinner after taking the wicket.
Shoaib Bashir gave an angry reaction and a fiery stare at the batter, indicating that he had the last laugh in this battle. Here’s the video:

Yashasvi Jaiswal hit a brutal half-century and ended with an innings of 57 runs off 58 balls. He hit 5 boundaries and three sixes in his innings and made sure that India got off to a brisk start. The young batter added 104 runs in partnership with skipper Rohit Sharma, who also slammed a vital half-century.
Yashasvi Jaiswal completes 700 runs in the ongoing England series
Yashasvi Jaiswal has been magnificent in the ongoing Test series against England. He surpassed 700 runs in the ongoing series and became only the second Indian player to achieve the feat of hitting 700 runs in a single series. He joined Sunil Gavaskar in the elite list.
Yashasvi Jaiswal also completed 1000 runs in Test cricket and became the fastest batter in the history of Indian cricket to achieve the feat. He achieved the feat in his 9th Test match overtaking Cheteshwar Pujara, who achieved the feat in 11 games.

He has slammed two double tons in the series and also is the leading run-getter in the series. The second innings would be an opportunity for him to add more to his tally and go past Sunil Gavaskar’s tally of 732 runs in the Test series. It remains to be seen if he achieves the feat or not.
