Indian batter Virat Kohli achieved a massive feat as he entered the Top-5 of the list of most catches in the history of the ODIs. He achieved the feat during the recently concluded first game against West Indies at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados.

Virat Kohli equalled Ross Taylor’s tally of 142 catches in the ODIs after he took a one-handed stunner to remove Romario Shepherd on Ravindra Jadeja’s delivery. Despite not getting an opportunity to bat he managed to steal the limelight with his fielding effort.

Romario Shepherd tried to come forward and drive to a full outside-off delivery. The ball caught the outside edge of his bat and seemed to be dying on its way to second slip. But Virat Kohli produced a stupendous effort at the slips. He plucked a one-handed stunner to his right and caught even his teammates by surprise.

With his catch, Virat Kohli joined the elite list comprising Mahela Jayawardene, Ricky Ponting, Mohammad Azharuddin and Ross Taylor. With two ODIs still left in the ongoing series against West Indies, he has a great chance to surpass New Zealand great–Ross Taylor.
