Ravichandran Ashwin is the first player on this list. The right-arm spinner played for India in the recent ICC T20 World Cup 2022. With 442 wickets in 86 Tests so far, he is one of the most successful bowlers for India in red-ball cricket.

The right-arm spinner turned 36 this year. There are many young spinners who are trying to get a place in the Test format. Ashwin has already played many matches for India. He was a bit unlucky in the recent T20 World Cup 2022, where team India failed to win yet another ICC title.

Cheteshwar Pujara is another player who might retire from Test cricket after the IND vs BAN Test series. The right-handed batsman is a regular middle-order batter for the team in the longest format. However, he was dropped from the team after a series of poor performances during the last two years.

He has managed to make a comeback. However, in the middle order, there are some emerging batters like Shreyas Iyer, Hanuma Vihari, and Rishabh Pant among others. If the right-handed batter Pujara fails to deliver a good show in the IND vs BAN Test series, he might look for retirement from the longest format.

Axar Patel is another player who might retire from Test cricket after the IND vs BAN Test series. Axar Patel currently plays for India in all three formats. However, the all-rounder could not manage to impress with his bowling and batting in the recent ICC T20 World Cup 2022.

The left-handed batsman might retire from Test cricket due to the excessive workload on him. Leaving Tests will give him ample time to prepare for the other two white-ball formats. Hence, Axar Patel is another player who might retire from Test cricket after the Bangladesh Test series.
