Bangladesh Cricket Team lost the 1st Test Match by 188 runs. The Bangladeshi Tigers would sense that one more big partnership could have changed the result of the match. Surprisingly, Mushfiqur Rahim and Litton Das weren’t among the runs which hurt the team.

India on the other side would be relieved as they had to toil a lot for 10 wickets, the team was on the field for 113.2 overs. Axar Patel’s variations proved to be quite decisive as he took 4 wickets for 77 runs in his 32.2 overs whereas the spinner was quite disciplined in his line and length.

Nasum Ahmed Named in 2nd Test Match

Bangladesh Habibul Bashar gave an update about the squad. “Ebadot received an injury on his back in the first Test. He will not be fit for the second Test. That’s why we took Nasum in his place though we have yet to decide whether we would play an extra spinner in Dhaka,” said Habibul Bashar.

Exciting Contest on Cards

The 2nd Test Match which is set to commence on 22nd December promises to be a fascinating contest. The Bangladeshi Tigers would be eager to bounce back strongly. The biggest positive for Bangladesh was the rise of Zakir Hasan & Najmul Shanto as the duo showed sheer brilliance. Skipper Shakib would be hoping that the batters bat responsibly and focus on rotating the strike.

It won’t be wrong to say that Men in Blue got a wake-up call. The veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin had to work hard for wickets despite bowling immaculate lines and length. The management has a conundrum as Rohit Sharma is all set to be back in the 2nd Test Match, as they have a tough task at hand whether to drop an in-form Shubman Gill or back KL Rahul.
