India National Cricket Team captain Rohit Sharma is highly likely to take part in the second Test of the two-match series against Bangladesh National Cricket Team, according to Sports Tak report.
The first Test between the Bangla Tigers and Team India is currently underway at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram and the second Test is set to be played from December 22 to 26 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

Rohit Sharma was ruled out of the first Test due to a thumb injury he sustained while fielding in the slip cordon in the second ODI of the three-match series against Litton Das & Co.
Meanwhile, on Friday, December 16, a BCCI source told Sports Tak that Rohit Sharma has recovered, is fully fit to compete and will return to action in the second Test. Also, the source has said that the Indian captain will very soon leave for Bangladesh.

KL Rahul Leading India In First Test In Rohit Sharma’s Absence
KL Rahul was appointed as the skipper for the first Test after Rohit Sharma was ruled out of the game. Also, Abhimanyu Easwaran was included in the squad as a replacement for Rohit Sharma.
In an official statement issued by the BCCI on December 11, it was stated that the call on the availability of the Indian captain will be taken at a later stage.
“India captain Rohit Sharma met with a specialist in Mumbai for his left thumb injury, which he sustained during the 2nd ODI against Bangladesh. He has been advised appropriate management for this injury and will not be available for the first Test against Bangladesh.
“The BCCI Medical Team will take a call on his availability for the second and final Test at a later stage. The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Abhimanyu Easwaran as his replacement for the first Test,” the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said in an official media release.
Talking about the first Test between India and Bangladesh, in the first innings of the match, India posted 404 runs on the board with the help of good half-centuries by Cheteshwar Pujara, Shreyas Iyer and Ravichandran Ashwin. Also, Rishabh Pant and Kuldeep Yadav contributed good 40s.
Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav bagged a 5-wicket haul, Mohammed Siraj picked up 3 wickets while Axar Patel and Umesh Yadav bagged one wicket each to bowl out Bangladesh for 150 in the second innings of the match.
