Rahul scored just 23 runs off 62 balls, including 3 fours, before being dismissed by the 30-year-old pacer Khaled Ahmed in the 23rd over of the innings, who was absolutely pumped up after the dismissal and celebrated in anger while KL Rahul walked off the field.

On the fourth ball of the 23rd over, bowling from around the wicket, the Bangladesh pacer delivered a short ball just outside the leg-stump and KL Rahul wanted to play it over the fine-leg region. However, he only managed to get a thick outside edge as the ball went flying into the hands of Taijul Islam who took a wonderful catch at the boundary ropes.

In the first Test, Rahul will be captaining the team in place of Rohit Sharma, which will place more burden on his shoulders.
