In the 4th innings of the match, while chasing the target, the 24-year-old Bangladesh National Cricket Team opening batsman Najmul Hossain Shanto played a wonderful knock.

He scored 67 runs off 156 balls, including 7 fours, and had a brilliant 124-run partnership in 277 balls with debutant Zakir Hasan. Umesh Yadav broke the remarkable partnership between the Bangladesh openers and got the first breakthrough for his side in the 47th over on Day 4.

On the first ball of the 47th over, Umesh Yadav bowled a short length delivery from round the wicket, slightly wide of the off-stump and Shanto lost his patience and ended up poking at it to get an outside edge.

The ball went towards Virat Kohli, who was at the first slip, and he tried to take the catch, but the ball popped out. Fortunately, the wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant was alert and he dived across to his left and completed a good catch.

Earlier, on Day 3, Bangladesh got bowled out for 150 as Kuldeep Yadav completed his third 5-wicket haul in Test cricket. In the third innings, Shubman Gill slammed his maiden Test ton and Cheteshwar Pujara smashed his first Test century in 52 innings.

Gill scored 110 and Pujara scored 102 as India declared on 258 for 2, to post a humongous target of 513 for Bangladesh.
