ENG vs IND: Fully Fit Rohit Sharma To Leave For England On June 20 – Reports

India National Cricket Team all-format captain Rohit Sharma is all set to leave for England on June 20 for the all-format tour. The tour is set to begin with a one-off Test followed by a three-match T20I and a three-match ODI series.
The 5th and last Test match of the series between India and England, which was cancelled last year due to the Covid-19 outbreak in the Indian camp, will be played at the Edgbaston, Birmingham from Friday, July 1. Also, India have a 2-1 lead in the Test series.

The majority of the Indian Test squad members, including the likes of Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Siraj, Cheteshwar Pujara, Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur left for the United Kingdom on Thursday, June 16.
Also, Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer, who are currently playing the home T20I series against South Africa and have been named in India’s Test squad for the England tour, will be travelling to England after the South Africa T20I series concludes.
No Injury Concern For India Captain Rohit Sharma
With Rohit Sharma, who scored 368 runs in 4 Tests against England last year, not travelling with the Indian squad on June 16 speculations began to arise about his fitness.
However, according to the Sports Today report, Rohit Sharma does not have any injury concerns and he will leave for England with the white-ball specialists and a few other Test players from Bengaluru on June 20.
Meanwhile, India will be playing a 4-day practice match against Leicestershire from June 24 to 27 ahead of the first Test. Also, at the same time, a second-string Indian team will be playing two-match T20I series against Ireland under the leadership of Hardik Pandya on June 26 and 28.
Star opener and India vice-captain, KL Rahul, who suffered a groin injury to get ruled out of the home T20I series against South, is also doubtful for the one-off Test against England.
