ENG vs IND Head to Head Records, England’s Head-to-Head Record Against India – India Tour of England 2022, 1st T20I. England and India will battle against each other in a T20I series. The ENG vs IND 1st T20I takes place on July 7 (Thursday) at The Rose Bowl Stadium in Southampton.

India is led by Rohit Sharma in the ENG vs IND T20I series. England is led by Jos Buttler. During the ongoing India tour of England 2022, both the teams played a one-off Test match which was a rescheduled match from last year’s tour. In the match, England defeated India by 7 wickets to tie the series 2-2.

In the match, England won the toss and opted to bowl first. For India, Rishabh Pant slammed a spectacular knock of 146 runs. Ravindra Jadeja also scored 104 later to take India to 416-10 in 1st innings. James Anderson scalped a 5-wicket haul for England. Later, England was bowled out for 284 with a century by Jonny Bairstow (106).

With a 132-run lead, India came out with a flop show in the 2nd innings. The visitors were bowled out for just 245 runs. Cheteshwar Pujara scored the most 66 runs for the team while Rishabh Pant added 57 runs. However, India managed to set up a powerful target of 378 for the hosts.

However, the target looked tiny in front of dominant England batsmen. Alex Lees (56) and Zak Crawley (46) hit good knocks to give a good start to the team. Later, Joe Root slammed an unbeaten 142 while Jonny Bairstow smacked an unbeaten 144 to chase the target for the team with 7 wickets in hands.
