ENG vs IND: India Has A Bowling Attack For All Conditions: David Malan
England batsman Dawid Malan lauded India as a top team in all conditions, saying their depth and bench strength make them an unbelievable squad.
For the impending one-off Test match beginning July 1 in Edgbaston versus the English, the Indian Test team is preparing to its best potential.
The English are coming off a commanding 3-0 series victory against New Zealand at home, led by their recently named captain Ben Stokes.
The Indian team, on the other hand, is most likely to be led for the first time on English soil by Rohit Sharma, who is in a race against time to recover from COVID-19. Even a draw will help the guests win the five-match series, as they are up 2-1.
India Are A Fantastic Side In All Formats: David Malan
The depth of India’s roster, according to Malan, who was speaking with Mykhel, is what makes them a dangerous team because they have a number of legends within their ranks.
“India are a fantastic side across all formats and consistently they have been doing so well over the last so many years and they’ve been able to beat every country in every country in every format. They have some legends of the game playing for them. I think they are an unbelievable team and you said how their record in the last few years just shows how dangerous they are. They’ve got so much depth in the side at the moment and so many players are knocking on that door,” the Yorkshire cricketer said.
“I think they’ve got a fantastic attack, they’ve got an attack for all conditions, they’ve got pace, they have different actions and skills. I think they all challenge you in different ways. Bumrah is obviously unbelievable, and Mohammed Shami is been so good across all conditions. They ask so many questions and they have a fantastic spin attack as well, and together they make a lethal bowling attack,” Malan further added.
Malan was part of the English squad last year but he is not in the team for the last Test.
