Indian batter Virat Kohli is highly likely to feature in the playing XI for the second ODI against England after the BCCI shared a picture of the 33-year-old practising in the nets ahead of the game.

Kohli sat out of the first ODI having sustained a groin injury during the 3rd T20I against England. His participation in the second game was also doubtful but the board has released pictures almost assuring the fact that he’s playing.

He is going through a rough patch and Kohli will be keen on getting his mojo back in arguably his best format. India has already taken a 1-0 lead having thumped England by 10 wickets in the first ODI.

“I see him coming back and doing well” – Sourav Ganguly on Virat Kohli

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly said that Kohli understands his performances have not been up to the mark, especially by the high standards he set in the preceding years.

Of course, look at the numbers he has got in international cricket that doesn’t happen without ability and quality. Yes, he has had a tough time and he knows that. He has been a great player himself. He himself knows by his own standards it has not been good and I see him coming back and doing well.”

But he has got to find his way and become successful, which he has been for the last 12-13 years or more and only Virat Kohli can do that, ” Ganguly said while speaking to ANI.
