Rain is once again expected to play some part on Day 2 of the 5th Test match between India and England as there are 79% chances of rain in the daytime when the temperature will be around 18 degrees Celcius.

According to weather.com, rain showers are expected from 7:00 am local time, till 2:00 pm local time. Also, heavy rainfall is expected between 10 am to 12 pm.

Talking about the pitch, on Day 1 the surface provided good support to both the teams as the England pace battery dominated in the first half by picking 5 wickets and the Indian batters dominated in the second half by scoring over 200 runs without losing a wicket. Meanwhile, a similar kind of pitch is expected on Day 2 of the Test match.

Historically, the Edgbaston surface has been good for batters but the pacers too get the support they seek as conditions are conducive for swing.
