The arch-rivals have praised India’s victory against England on Saturday that ended the series. Shahid Afridi, a former captain of Pakistan, was pleased by the Men in Blue’s professional effort during the second Twenty20 International at Edgbaston.
India defeated the hosts by 49 runs, gaining a solid 2-0 lead because to Rohit Sharma’s outstanding leadership and aggressive strategy.
Ravindra Jadeja’s Innings Help Visitors Post Respectable Total
The new opening combo of Rohit and Rishabh Pant put up a 49-run opening partnership to help them get off to a fast start after being given the opportunity to bat first. With his 46 unbroken runs, Ravindra Jadeja helped visitors set a lofty goal of 171 for the home team.
In response, Jos Buttler’s England were dismissed for a pitiful 121 runs in just 17 overs. India won because Jasprit Bumrah (2/10) and Yuzevndra Chahal (2/10) perfectly matched Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s (3/15) newly discovered rhythm in the powerplay overs.
Shahid Afridi Impressed By Indian Bowling Performance
Afridi praised the Indian squad on Twitter after their impressive victory, praising the bowling unit in particular. In the forthcoming T20 World Cup Down Under, Rohit Sharma’s squad would undoubtedly be one of the favourites, he said.
India have played outstanding cricket and deserve to win the series. Really impressive bowling performance, they'll surely be one of the favourites for the T20 World Cup in Australia https://t.co/5vqgnBYfIX

“India have played outstanding cricket and deserve to win the series. Really impressive bowling performance, they’ll surely be one of the favourites for the T20 World Cup in Australia,” Afridi tweeted.
Visitor’s approach appeared to be to continue making huge strokes even after wickets were lost at one end. Virat Kohli experienced peer pressure in the meanwhile. The skier’s poor timing revealed his desperation and brought an end to his inning with a score of 1.
The most amazing feature, though, was from India’s 89 for five, as they still managed to reach 170. It was all down to Jadeja, who wasn’t having much fun playing T20 cricket a few months ago. He had a rough time with CSK during the IPL, but on Saturday he came back with a game-winning effort.
Jadeja appeared to be playing without any inhibitions, and it was clear that even when wickets dropped at the other end, there was no letting up in his strokeplay since the scoreboard had a competitive feel to it. This was happening amid strong signs that he may depart CSK next year.
