Monty Panesar suggested that Virat Kohli can once again ring up the former India cricketer and probably Sachin Tendulkar or Yuvraj Singh, both of whom he respects a lot.
Most experts and pundits are worried about Virat Kohli’s future in the sport as a result of his recent problems with the bat. Since November 2019, the decline in performance has been a part of his ongoing century drought.
A former England cricketer, Monty Panesar, has suggested to him a strategy that Virat Kohli has employed in the past to stage a successful return. While some have continued to support the starter batter to rediscover his mojo, others have questioned his place on the Indian side.
As he battled the deliveries through the corridor of uncertainty, his 2014 England trip remained a forgettable campaign in his career. However, a conversation with batting superstar Sachin Tendulkar helped him bounce back, and later that year, he made a remarkable comeback to the Test format during a tour of Australia.
‘Virat should talk to Sachin Tendulkar’: Monty Panesar
Panesar told the Times of India that Kohli can contact the former India cricketer and possibly Yuvraj Singh, both of whom he holds great admiration.
“Virat should speak with Sachin Tendulkar.” He respects and admires him. He could speak with Yuvraj Singh (also). Virat holds Yuvraj in high regard. Yuvraj and Sachin should be contacted by Virat.
“These two people can help him. He ought to visit me, talk with me, and perhaps join me for dinner. He ought to speak with someone who has no connection to cricket” he advised.
As Manchester’s Old Trafford prepares for the final of the three-match ODI series, India and England prepare to square off. With the series tied 1-1, both teams will be eager to make a statement and win the series.
