IND vs ENG: "It Won't Happen By Taking Rest" - Parthiv Patel On Team India's Search For Perfect Combination Ahead Of T20 World Cup

Parthiv Patel, a former wicket-keeper, thinks that all of Team India’s key players should compete in as many games as they can to find the ideal lineup for the 2022 T20 World Cup.
Over the course of this year, a number of starters have received respite. A backup team has been used by Team India on several occasions. There are still concerns about the performance of first-team players who have played occasionally, despite the fact that it has helped the management distribute opportunities to the bench players and evaluate their skills.

The Batting Unit Needs Improvement: Parthiv Patel
Parthiv Patel stated on Cricbuzz that the process of putting together the ideal combination is hampered by repeated breaks:
“I think that the batting unit needs improvement. You win matches when someone from the top three scores big. It is important to bring the right combination, and it won’t happen by taking rest.”

India’s batting team has a number of open concerns, despite the bowling unit appearing to be in good shape in terms of quality and diversity. Despite much experimenting, there remain problems with the batting order and form.
In the final two T20Is of the series, Team India came up with a novel strategy by moving Rishabh Pant up the order. In the past four seasons of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the wicketkeeper-batter has opened for the Delhi franchise. The middle order’s recent troubling performance in T20Is pushed the management to try.
Parthiv Patel Don’t Mind Rishabh Pant Opening The Innings
According to Parthiv Patel, the strategy of starting the innings with Rishabh Pant is wise given the advantages.

“I don’t mind Rishabh Pant opening the innings, it is oriented towards attacking cricket. With this move, they might lose 2-3 wickets in the powerplay, but there is a chance of scoring 60-70 runs as well.”
In the second and third T20Is against England, the southpaw opened the innings and scored 26 and 1, respectively. With KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan as alternatives, it is unclear if the Men in Blue would stick with Pant in the top order.
