Veteran India National Cricket Team wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik asserted that he is proud of the way the India National Cricket Team players fought for the T20I series victory against England National Cricket Team.

Rohit Sharma-led India National Cricket Team won the three-match T20I series against the Jos Buttler-led England National Cricket Team by 2-1.

The first match of the series was played at The Rose Bowl, Southampton on Thursday, July 7 and India won the match by 50 runs with the help of Hardik Pandya’s all-round brilliance. In the second game at the Edgbaston, Birmingham India won by 49 runs with the help of brilliant batting by Ravindra Jadeja and sensational bowling by Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

In the dead rubber third T20I match, which was played at the Trent Bridge, Nottingham England posted 215 runs on the board with the help of Dawid Malan’s amazing half-century and Liam Livingstone’s quick 42 runs.

Chasing the target, India faced a top-order collapse as Rishabh Pant (1), Virat Kohli (11) and Rohit Sharma (11) got out inside the powerplay.

However, Suryakumar Yadav and Shreyas Iyer stitched up a 119-run partnership for the 4th wicket. Suryakumar Yadav smashed a spectacular ton to become 5th Indian batter to smash a century in T20I cricket, but he got no support from the other end and India lost the match by 17 runs.

After the third T20I, Dinesh Karthik, who got his India recall after his outstanding performance for Royal Challengers Bangalore RCB (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, took to Twitter to shower praise on India National Cricket Team for winning two excellent games and giving a good fight to England in the 3rd T20I.

The 37-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik failed to perform well for Rohit Sharma and Co. in the three-match T20I series against England.

Dinesh Karthik got enough time to showcase his talent of finishing the innings in style in all three games, but he failed and registered scores of 11,12 and 6.
