IND vs ENG: Suryakumar Yadav Breaks KL Rahul's Massive Record With His Maiden T20I Century In Nottingham vs England

The 31-year-old India National Cricket Team middle-order batsman Suryakumar Yadav smashed an outstanding century in the third and final T20I match of the series against England at the Trent Bridge, Nottingham on Sunday, July 10.
In the third T20I, England posted 215 runs on the board, after winning the toss and batting first, with the help of Dawid Malan’s amazing 77 runs knock and other batters’ decent contributions.

Chasing the target, India were reduced to 31/3 after they lost the wickets of Rishabh Pant (1) Virat Kohli (11) and Rohit Sharma (11) inside the powerplay. However, Suryakumar Yadav batted brilliantly and added 119 runs with middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer for the 4th wicket.
The right-handed batter Suryakumar completed his maiden T20I century off 48 balls to become only the 5th Indian batter to smash a century in T20 International (T20I) cricket. Overall, he scored 117 runs off 55 balls, including 14 fours and 6 sixes, before being dismissed by Moeen Ali in the 19th over.
The 31-year-old’s knock went in vain as India failed to chase the target and lost the match by 17 runs. However, India won the series by 2-1 after winning the first two games comfortably.
Suryakumar Yadav Leapfrogs KL Rahul To Become India’s Highest Individual Scorer Outside India In T20Is
The Mumbai Indians batter’s excellent knock in the match helped him to leapfrog star opening batsman KL Rahul and become the highest individual scorer for India in T20Is outside India.
Earlier, Rahul’s unbeaten 110 runs against West Indies in Florida, which came on August 27, 2016, was the highest individual score for an Indian batter in T20Is outside India.

Overall, Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Deepak Hooda and Suryakumar have smashed in total 9 centuries for India in T20Is. Out of those 9 tons, six have come outside India.
