"The King Is Back": Twitter Reacts As Virat Kohli Returns To India Playing XI In The 2nd ODI vs England At Lord's
Virat Kohli missed the first ODI due to a niggle, there was no update of him being available for the 2nd ODI until BCCI shared a post on Twitter showing Virar Kohli batting in the nets. That kind of confirmed that Virat will indeed play the 2nd game.
At the toss, Rohit Sharma again won the toss and elected to field first. He confirmed that Virat is in the XI in place of Shreyas Iyer. As he confirmed that Kohli is going to play a roar went up inside the Lord’s cricket ground.
The squad for the T20IS series against the West Indies was announced earlier today and Virat Kohli is not part of it, therefore there have been many rumours that he may have been dropped from the side rather than taking a rest. But with him playing in the 2nd ODI, some of those rumours are expected to go down.
Virat Kohli Will Hope To Make It Count In The 2nd ODI
Kohli hasn’t been in the best of forms and everyone including fans, former cricketers and present cricketers giving their opinions on what he should do or not do. But for the time being, Kohli is part of the XI for the 2nd ODI and if England doesn’t crumble again as they did in the first game, he will get some time in the middle. Virat, if he gets to bat will hope to make it count.
Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah will be playing together for the first time in an ODI after more than 2 years.
