Indian Cricket Team registered a convincing T20I series triumph against New Zealand. The Men in Blue would be ecstatic as a lot of senior players were not present for the team. In the series, the World Cricket got to see Yuzvendra Chahal back in action after being benched for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.

The Men in Blue now has a strenuous task in the ODIs. The 1st ODI is starting on 25th November (Friday) and New Zealand would be eager to stamp their authority and take revenge for the defeat. The Men in Blue would be aware of the steep challenge as the selection panel has named a near second-string squad.

Harbhajan Singh on Yuzvendra Chahal & Kuldeep Yadav

Harbhajan Singh was having an interaction with Sports Today and made interesting comments on Chahal & Kuldeep. “Kuldeep aur Yuzvendra ki ek number jodi hai but pata nahi baad mein aisa kya hua ki wo saath mein khele hi nahi (The Kuldeep-Yuzvendra duo is numero-uno but I don’t know why this pair got separated?). When they played together, they had a blast in the international circuit but I don’t know the reason why they never played together again,” said Harbhajan Singh.

“It shouldn’t be like playing a particular individual and then dropping him. If a player is given an opportunity, he must get 10 games to prove his mettle. I feel players like Prithvi, Sanju and Kuldeep… all of them get very less chances,” he added.

Great Chance for India

The Men in Blue would be well aware of the fact that they have a steep road ahead. The skipper Shikhar Dhawan will need to be spot on with his selection as India doesn’t have a strong and experienced bowling attack.

The Black Caps on the other side can’t take India lightly as recently India has found a habit of finding match-winners on the given day. In the absence of Guptill & Boult, skipper Kane Williamson would be tested. It would be interesting to see how the series unfolds as the World Cricket can expect riveting action.
