KL Rahul (C)

KL Rahul will be the skipper of the Indian team. He will play as an opener in IND vs SA 1st ODI. KL Rahul slammed a century in IND vs SA 1st Test. The right-handed batsman is in a brilliant batting form currently. He will look to give a great start to the team in batting.

Shikhar Dhawan

Shikhar Dhawan will be the other opener for the team. In the absence of Rohit Sharma, Dhawan would be a good choice to open the innings. Dhawan has a lot of experience in batting as an opener. Suryakumar Yadav will be another batsman in the middle-order. The right-handed batsman gave an astonishing performance during his last ODI series against Sri Lanka in July last year. Yadav slammed 124 runs in 3 ODIs during the series at an average of 62.0 and won the player of the series award.

Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Iyer will be another player that India might pick at the middle-order. Iyer was out of the field for a long time last year, after he faced an elbow injury during India vs England ODI series in March. Later, he showed a good performance in IND vs NZ Test series, smacking a ton and fifty in his debut Test.
