SA vs IND Toss Report: India tour of South Africa 2021-22, 2nd ODI

India have won the toss in the second ODI of the three-match series and elected to bat first at the Boland Park in Paarl. The Proteas are currently leading the 3-match series by winning the first match of the series. Having lost the toss in the first match of the series, team India were asked to bowl first by South African skipper Temba Bavuma.

Later on, Bavuma came up with a magnificent hundred to prove his decision right. Alongside him was South Africa‘s man-in-form, Rassie van der Dussen, who came up with yet another century in the limited but sparkling ODI career he has had so far. There were a lot of questions surrounding KL Rahul’s captaincy in the first game of the series as the Men in Blue were outplayed by the hosts.

Individual performances were also under question from team India as veteran swing king of the Indian pace lineup, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, was once again wicketless as his lean patch in ODIs resumed. The middle-order collapse from the Indian batting lineup was once again visible as the team lost 5 wickets in a span of 50 runs.
