IND vs SA: Watch – Mohammed Shami Cleans Up Aiden Markram With A Cracking Delivery

Indian speedster Mohammed Shami dismissed South Africa opening batter Aiden Markram with a cracking delivery in the first Test match of three-match Test series between Virat Kohli-led India and Dean Elgar-led South Africa at the SuperSport Park, Centurion on Tuesday, December 28.

Mohammed Shami looked sensational on Day 3 of the Centurion Test match against South Africa and he troubled the top-order of the Dean Elgar-led side a lot.

The 27-year-old opening batsman Aiden Markram was castled by Shami in the 12th over of South Africa’s first innings. The ball crashed into the top of the off-stump after squaring up Markram in defence. The delivery was a back of length one, and Aiden Markram played with the angle and the ball straightened enough to beat the edge and hit the top of off stump.

Markram got out after scoring only 13 runs off 34 balls including 3 fours and it was Shami’s second wicket of the innings.

South Africa Struggles Against Indian Pace Battery On Day 3

Jasprit Bumrah provided India with the big breakthrough in the first over itself by dismissing the opposition skipper Dean Elgar in the 5th ball. Then Keegan Petersen and Markram who were trying to build a partnership were dismissed by senior pacer Shami.

Rassie van der Dussen was also sent back to the pavilion by Mohammed Siraj in the 5th ball of the 13th over and on the very next ball wicketkeeper-batsman, Quinton de Kock was dropped by KL Rahul in the slips.

At the time of writing, South Africa are at 43/4 with Quinton de Kock and vice-captain Temba Bavuma in middle.
