The final two Twenty20 Internationals of India’s five-match series against the West Indies will be played this weekend in Florida. All of the players and support staff from both teams have collected their US visas and will travel to the United States by the end of Thursday to compete in the fourth and fifth T20Is.

Following the Guyana government’s intervention, the problems with several players’ and both teams’ support staff visas were resolved. Irfan Ali, the president of Guyana, had to work hard to obtain the necessary travel authorizations. In expressing gratitude to the leader of Guyana’s government, Ricky Skerritt, president of Cricket West Indies (CWI), remarked, “It was a timely and effective diplomatic effort by His Excellency.”

According to a report,  14 members of the Indian contingent lacked U.S. travel authorization. After the third T20I ended in St. Kitts on Tuesday (August 2), which the Indian team won by seven wickets to take a 2-1 series lead, they were all flown to Georgetown in Guyana. Captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid were among those who attended the player interviews at the US Embassy.

Since they were permitted to travel, Indian players including Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Dinesh Karthik, Ravi Bishnoi, Suryakumar Yadav, and Kuldeep Yadav have already arrived in Miami. The rest of their teammates might arrive as early as Thursday night.

India is still concerned about the fitness of skipper Rohit Sharma:

Both Indian Team and West Indies are prepared to participate in the fourth and fifth Twenty20 matches in Florida despite having visa problems to enter the United States. As Florida gets ready to host the final two T20 matches, both teams received the all-clear from US authorities, but the Indian squad is still worried about the fitness of captain Rohit Sharma.

After recovering from his back injury, Rohit Sharma ought to be able to play in the two remaining T20 matches. Rohit Sharma will be available for the final two games on Saturday and Sunday in Florida, which would be a huge relief for Indian cricket fans. On Tuesday in St. Kitts, the Indian captain had to leave the third T20 match due to an injury.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said the skipper suffered a back spasm. The information coming in from the team sources is that Rohit has recovered and will play the last two T20 Matches.
