Salman Butt, a former cricketer for Pakistan, praised Rishabh Pant for his capacity to perform well for Team India under pressure. Butt claimed that the youthful keeper-batter has frequently saved the Indians in recent years whenever they have encountered difficulties.

During the visit to England, Pant played some fantastic knocks. In the England Test that was rescheduled, he scored 146 and 57 runs. Additionally, the 24-year-old led India to a series victory with an unbeaten 125 in the third one-day international.

He contributed a critical 33* in 26 balls on Tuesday, August 2, as Team India overcame the West Indies by seven wickets in the third T20I in St. Kitts. The Men in Blue now lead the five-match series 2-1 after the victory. Butt praised Pant on his YouTube channel for maintaining his composure under pressure.

“He is there whenever India needs someone to come up and play a dazzling knock under duress in trying conditions. Nearly every time he plays such a (vital) knock, Rishabh Pant. He did it during the England Test and One-Day Series. He contributed a useful knock to the team even in Tuesday game.”

‘Rishabh Pant’s success is an extra plus for India’: Salman Butt

Butt commented on Pant’s consistency with the bat and said that the squad is benefiting from his success in other ways. The former captain of Pakistan clarified:

“Being a wicketkeeper-batter, it is a bonus for India that Pant is successful. They can include a bowler in the playing XI because he is performing well. Even some proficient batters are unable to produce the kind of recent performances that Pant has had.”

Suryakumar Yadav, who hit a fantastic 76 in only 44 balls in the team’s chase of 165, laid the groundwork for India’s victory in the third T20I. The designated hitter fell in the 15th over, leaving India with a score of 135 for 2. Hardik Pandya was out for four, but Pant made a strong comeback by hitting three fours and a six.
