IND vs WI: Will Try To Be Myself Again; Will Be Fearless And Trust The Process - Suryakumar Yadav

Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav played a brilliant match-winning knock in the third T20I against West Indies on Friday. He scored a 44-ball 76 and helped India chase down 165 with one over to spare.
Unfortunately for the 31-year-old, he couldn’t stay till the end to take the team over the line. Suryakumar expressed disappointment at the same but asserted he will play in the same attacking fashion in the next game.
“I was disappointed to not finish the game. Because we always have a chat that if someone is set and has played 14-15 overs with just 20-30 runs needed then he should finish the game. I will try and be myself again in the next game and be fearless and trust the process,” Suryakumar said in a video posted by the BCCI.

His knock took India to the brink of victory before Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant applied the necessary winning touch. With that, they also took a 2-1 lead in the 5-match T20I series.
“Mindset will be same but I will adapt according to the situation” – Suryakumar Yadav
The teams have a 3-day break following the completion of the 3rd T20I. Suryakumar said he won’t try to change too much in his game and will continue playing in the same frame of mind but will also be open to adapting as per the situation.
“A very huge cricketer has told me that when you score big, you should enjoy that night. But when you wake up the next day, you must again start the preparation from scratch because you restart the innings from 0, not from 70 or 100. The mindset will be the same but I will adapt according to the situation,” he further stated.

The 76-run knock also propelled Suryakumar to the 2nd spot in the ICC T20I rankings for batters. He is now only behind Babar Azam, who leads the table with a 2-point lead over Suryakumar.
