Rajkumar Sharma, Virat Kohli’s childhood coach, thinks Rohit Sharma’s comeback to form in advance of the crucial T20 World Cup 2022 is excellent news for Indian cricket.

The Indian captain scored an outstanding 50 against the West Indies in the first T20I series on Friday (July 29). Sharma led his team in scoring with 64 runs off 44 balls during the game.

Rohit Sharma Looked Out Of Touch In Other Games: Rajkumar Sharma

After the Men in Blue defeated the West Indies by 68 runs, Rajkumar Sharma made these comments on India News Sports. He said:

“Rohit Sharma looked out of touch in the last few games and wasn’t able to score big runs. But he batted really well today. It’s very heartening for Indian cricket that the captain is back in form.”

Reetinder Singh Sodhi, a former spinner, mentioned during the conversation how Rohit Sharma’s batting performance will be crucial for India during the T20 World Cup in 2022.

He described how the 35-year-prodigious old’s batting skills could tip the balance of the match in his favour. Sharma’s confidence as captain would increase, according to Sodhi, if he scored many runs.

“Rohit Sharma is a champion player. When in form, he is the most dangerous batter in the world. Out of all the players that I have seen in my career and even after that, I believe he is the most impactful player.

“He has the ability to take the game away from the opposition when he’s out there. His form would be a sign of worry for the opposition as the T20 World Cup isn’t too far away. Rohit scoring runs has a positive impact on his captaincy as well.”

Rohit will look to continue the same run in the next 4 games as well.
