Former Indian cricketer Saba Karim pointed out Indian wicket-keeper batter, Rishabh Pant has been extremely good for the national team and if he is able to reciprocate those performances for Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2022 season, it will do his franchise a lot of good.

Pant won the Player of the Series award in the 2-match Test series against Sri Lanka. He scored 185 runs in 3 innings at the strike rate of 120, consistently saving the Indian team from tough situations. The IPL season is coming up and seeing the way Pant is performing, his teammates will be inspired.

Rishabh Pant’s communication with the other players is also very good, whether they are foreigners or Indians. I had seen that last year as well. You convey a lot to the other players with your communication. The other players get inspired by the performance itself.”

He will have to perform on the ground for the Delhi Capitals. The good thing is that he is the captain of the Delhi Capitals, he is in form, which shows that he can inspire the other players, lead from the front,” Karim mentioned in a conversation with India News.

“I have seen that he has a sharp cricketing brain” – Saba Karim

Karim stated that Pant is extremely fit for captaincy as he has tactical acumen and is confident in his decision-making abilities. Pant has led DC and was impressive and he will only grow further as he gains more experience.

He remains extremely relaxed while doing the captaincy and the experience he is gaining from playing international cricket, he will definitely benefit from that in this year’s IPL.”

In the conversations I have had with Pant, I have seen that he has a sharp cricketing brain and he backs his decisions, which is a very big thing and is required in IPL matches as well,” Karim added.
