Kolkata Knight Riders’ new captain, Shreyas Iyer has to be at the top of the list. He is currently in the form of his life. In the absence of Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer played at number three in the recently concluded T20 series against Sri Lanka.

He played match-defining knocks in all three games of the series and was the highest run-scorer. In 3 matches, Iyer managed to score 204 runs at a strike rate of 174.36. He continued his good form in the Test series which followed thereafter.

There is no denying that Shreyas Iyer will be key to KKR’s fortune in the upcoming edition of the tournament. It will be interesting to see how performs this year both as a captain and as a batsman.
