Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) player Suresh Raina desperately wanted to wear the yellow jersey and visit the stadium to support his team. CSK is taking on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the opening game of the IPL 2022 season.
Raina went unsold in the mega auction and will not be taking part in the IPL. However, his loyalty for CSK will always remain, indicated in his desire to don the CSK jersey and go to Wankhede to support his former team.

In all, Raina played 176 matches for CSK. He scored a solitary century for the MS Dhoni-led side and amassed 4687 runs, all coming at an average of 32.32 and a healthy strike rate of 136.93. He has also taken 24 wickets for the Men in Yellow.
Meanwhile, Dhoni handed over the captaincy to the all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. He walked out for the first time as the skipper on Saturday for the toss against KKR. Dhoni will continue to play as a wicket-keeper batter.
