Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) mentor Gautam Gambhir hurled abuse in joy after the KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) defeated the Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 45th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday, May 1.
Lucknow Super Giants won the match by 6 runs against Delhi Capitals to win their 7th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. Out of 10 games in the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League, so far, Lucknow Super Giants have won 7 and lost 3 and they are at the No.2 position in the points table, just behind Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat Titans (GT).
Meanwhile, the match between Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals turned out to be a last-over thriller as the Delhi Capitals needed 21 runs to win in the last over, with Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav on the crease and Marcus Stoinis bowling his first and final over the match.
Stoinis got smashed for a six by left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav on the first ball of the over. The next delivery was wide and on the next-to-next ball, Kuldeep gave the strike to Axar Patel, who was hitting the ball brilliantly.
However, Axar played two dot balls on the 3rd and 4th delivery of the over and Delhi Capitals needed to score 13 runs off the last two balls to win the match.
As soon as Marcus Stoinis bowled a dot ball on the 5th ball of the over the entire Lucknow Super Giants team, camp and fans were fully charged up as the victory was in their bag.
Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants mentor Gautam Gambhir, who was sitting in the dugout was also filled up with the energy while looking at his team win the 7th IPL 2022 game and he hurled abuse in joy.

Earlier, Lucknow Super Giants were able to post 195/3 on the board against Delhi Capitals as KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda played incredible innings.
KL Rahul completed his half-century off 35 balls in the 13th over and Hooda completed his half-century off 32 balls in the 14th over.
LSG skipper and Hooda had a 95 runs partnership in 61 balls before Shardul Thakur broke the partnership by dismissing Hooda, who scored 52 runs off 34 balls, including 6 fours and one six.
Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants captain Rahul smashed 77 runs off 51 balls, including 4 fours and 5 sixes.
