DC vs MI: Watch - Kuldeep Yadav Picks The Big Fish Of Rohit Sharma After A Decent Start

The second match of the IPL 2022 saw Delhi Capitals (DC) taking on Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Brabourne Stadium on March 27, 2022. Rohit Sharma’s MI was put in to bat first by Rishabh Pant who won the toss and the MI captain fell to Kuldeep Yadav after a decent start.

Both the teams gave a bunch of debuts given that they had a lot of new faces in the squad after the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) auction. For Mumbai Indians, Tilak Varma, Tymal Mills, Daniel Sams, Tim David, and Basil Thampi made their debuts.

On the other hand for the Delhi Capitals, Tim Seifert, Mandeep Singh, Rovman Powell, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, and Kamlesh Nagarkoti made their debuts for the franchise. For the lack of availability of foreign players, DC fielded just two overseas players in their XI.

Mumbai Indians opened with Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan and the duo started off well. They added 67 runs in 8.2 overs with Rohit Sharma being particularly brutal, as he smashed 4 fours and 2 sixes, singling out young Kamlesh Nagarkoti for some assault.

Kishan, on the other hand, bided his time but scored at a brisk rate. However, the introduction of Kuldeep Yadav by Rishabh Pant turned out to be fatal for Rohit Sharma. On the second ball of the 9^th over, Kuldeep Yadav bowled a slow-length ball and Rohit Sharma tried to take advantage of the slowness.

He tried to pull it towards the midwicket region but didn’t quite manage to hit the ball from the middle of the bat and Rovman Powell took an easy catch to give Kuldeep Yadav his first wicket of the match. 

At the time of writing, this article, MI was 85/2, with Anmolpreet Singh also departing for 8 runs, against dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav, this time caught by Khaleel Ahmed.
