Royal Challengers Bangalore will play Delhi Capitals in their next game at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai on April 16. They lost their previous match against CSK after winning three on the trot. RCB have been very inconsistent in terms of their performance in the season so far.

Skipper Faf has blown hot and cols since scoring 88 in RCB’s first game of the season. He scored just 8 against his former side and was dismissed early in a chase of 216. He will need to get back to scoring runs if they are to make it to the final four.

Rawat has scored runs quickly opening the batting for Royal Challengers Bangalore. It is who has provided the impetus at the top of the order allowing Faf to anchor the innings. He has already scored a fifty in the first few games that he has played.

Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli scored just one against CSK in a chase of 216. He is yet to score a fifty this season with 48 against Mumbai Indians being his highest score of the season so far. Kohli has seemed to struggle to get runs and he needs to turn it on for his franchise.

Glenn Maxwell

Maxwell played a counter-attacking innings of 26 against CSK. He ran out of partners in the end as his side lost the game by 23 runs. The right-hander will slot in at number four in the batting-order.

Shahbaz Ahmed

The Bengal all-rounder has shown some good hitting form in the season so far. He has bowled a few good overs as well. He is keeping the likes of Karn Sharma and Mahipal Lomror out of the playing XI.

The youngster from Goa scored a quickfire 34 off 18 balls for Royal Challengers Bangalore against CSK. That knock will help him retain his place for a few more matches in the side. Expectations from him will now increase.

Karthik was finally dismissed against CSK after playing three consecutive unbeaten innings in the side’s first three games. He has shown tremendous finishing skills so far in IPL 2022. The franchise will expect him to continue for the rest of the season.

Wanindu Hasaranga

Though he has bowled well, Wanindu Hasaranga has not been able to contribute much with the bat. He took 4 wickets against KKR and took 2/35 against CSK as well in a gam,e where all the other RCB bowlers went for plenty.

Harshal Patel

Harshal Patel who missed the previous game due to family reasons will be back in this game in place of Akash Deep. He will be back for this game after getting done with his family commitments.

Mohammed Siraj / Siddharth Kaul

Siraj has failed to pick wickets for RCB this season. He has picked just three wickets this season so far and in the game against CSK. He went for 37 without taking a wicket. RCB can give him a break and include Siddhart Kaul in his place. Kaul is a quality bowler and can bowl at the death as well.

The Australian pacer will conclude RCB’s strongest looking playing Xi for their clash against Delhi Capitals. It’s a mid-table clash with both teams looking to move up the ladder.
