Shaun Pollock, a South African great, discussed the issue that developed during in the game against Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals during the final over.

The Royals limited Rishabh Pant’s men to 207/8 after hitting a massive score of 222/2 in 20 overs; nevertheless, the encounter was plagued by drama during the game’s last over, when the Capitals side was left upset by an umpiring decision.

Rovman Powell of DC smashed three consecutive sixes off the first three deliveries, requiring 36 runs from the final over. Rovman Powell hit a six on the third delivery of the over, a hip-high full-toss from Obed McCoy, but the DC camp requested it is deemed a no-ball for height.

Kuldeep Yadav, who was on the non-end, striker’s began by signaling to the umpire to investigate for a probable no-ball on height. Powell also engaged in the conversation with the umpires. The umpires, on the other hand, stayed firm, claiming that the ball was acceptable.

After that, captain Rishabh Pant motioned for Powell and Kuldeep to come out, while DC assistant coach Praveen Amre entered the arena.

During the drama that transpired in the final over, several former players criticised DC’s behaviour.

“Wasn’t that the kind of behaviour the game deserved?” Pant appeared to be indicating the players to leave the field from the backend, which I would have found unacceptable at that point.”

“Even the coach that has been dispatched… Pravin Amre probably didn’t want to go (to the field), but he was informed he had to. Pollock remarked on Cricbuzz, “It was uncalled for,” Shaun Pollock Added.

Shaun Pollock said, “After the day, the umpire’s decisions must be respected.” The protocol requires a lot of judgments to be sent upstairs. But it couldn’t be sent that day since it wasn’t a wicket. “All I ask is that they respect the umpire’s judgment.”

RR are presently in first place in the points standings, having won five of their first seven games. DC, on the other hand, has only three victories in seven games and is currently sixth in the rankings.
