Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) was dealt a huge blow ahead of their game against Delhi Capitals (DC) after T Natarajan and Washington Sundar were ruled out of the match on Thursday.

Both Natarajan and Sundar sustained injuries in their 13-run loss to the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) last Sunday. While Natarajan bowled his full quota of overs, Sundar wasn’t even brought into the attack.

Natarajan will be sorely missed by SRH as he is their highest-wicket taker in the IPL 2022 season. The left-armer has picked up 17 wickets in 9 matches at an excellent average of 17.82.

Former Rajasthan Royals (RR) duo of Kartik Tyagi and Shreyas Gopal will be playing their first matches in the place of Natarajan and Sundar respectively.

We will bowl first, dew could be coming later on, something early in the surface and we’ll look to exploit it. We’ve taken positives from the losses and moved on, looking to come back well today.”

Three changes for us. They’re excited to get an opportunity and have worked hard at the nets. There is a lot to play for in every game and every team, looking to make those small improvements,” skipper Kane Williamson confirmed at the toss.

Additionally, South African pacer Marco Jansen was also benched after a string of poor performances, and Aussie pacer, Sean Abbott, will be making his debut for SRH as well.
