GT vs PBKS: Watch - Rishi Dhawan Sends Off Hardik Pandya With A Flying Kiss After Dismissing The GT Captain
Hardik Pandya on Tuesday could not continue his good batting form in IPL 2022 as he got out for just 1 run against Punjab Kings.
Rishi Dhawan accounted for his downfall.
Gujarat Titans In Spot Of Bother At 44-3
Earlier in the day Hardik Pandya won the toss and chose to bat first. Opener Shubman Gill was run-out courtesy of a brilliant throw by Rishi Dhawan. While Wriddhiman Saha was going great guns in the powerplay he too got out in trying to be ultra-aggressive against Kagiso Rabada.
Sai Sudarshan and Hardik Pandya were expected to arrest the mini-collapse but Hardik Pandya got out in trying to play a cut shot against Rishi Dhawan.
Dhawan bowled it outside the off-stump and Pandya tried to reach the ball with just his hands. His feet did not move much and the ball took the outside edge of his bat. Jitesh Sharma took a rather simple catch and Pandya was dismissed for just a run.
Pandya is GT’s highest run-scorer this season and his wicket at that stage gave a massive advantage to Punjab Kings who are struggling to get wins under their belt.
Rishi Dhawan has been a good addition to their XI as he has contributed to all three departments. He has batted well, bowled well and fielded well. He defended well against MS Dhoni in his first IPL game in 5 years.
