GT vs PBKS: Watch - Shubman Gill's Dip In Form Continues; Gets Run Out By Rishi Dhawan

Gujarat Titans (GT) opener Shubman Gill’s early season form has vanished as the youngster was sent back to the hut by a magnificent direct hit from Punjab Kings (PBKS) bowler, Rishi Dhawan.

In a rare scenario at the DY Patil Stadium, Hardik Pandya opted to bat first after winning the toss. The move backfired immediately as GT lost their first wicket in the 3rd over.

After playing a couple of good shots, Gill drove a delivery from Sandeep Sharma straight towards the cover fielder. He set off for a non-existent run and Dhawan had only one stick to aim at.

He did just that and nailed the throw from cover, catching Gill well short of the crease at the bowler’s end. He complained about Sandeep obstructing his path but replays showed the bowler was holding his ground and Gill had to walk back.

Meanwhile, both teams opted to stick with the same team. PBKS is coming into the match on the back of a loss against Lucknow Super Giants while GT is fresh off its win against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
