Batting maestro Virat Kohli finally smashed a half-century in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 in the 43rd match of the tournament between Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday, April 30.

Virat Kohli had an extremely poor run in the Indian Premier League 2022 before today’s game against Gujarat Titans as he had got dismissed for a golden duck twice in the tournament and had gotten out several times in the first 10 balls of his innings.

However, he looked completely different in the match against Gujarat Titans, and from the very first ball, he looked in full control. Kohli played some beautiful-looking strokes against the strong GT bowling unit to reach his half-century milestone.

Notably, Kohli’s opening partner Faf du Plessis had got out for a duck in the match, however, he stood strong on one end, and at the end of the powerplay, Royal Challengers Bangalore were at 43/1 with Virat Kohli at 27 and Rajat Patidar at 14.

In the next 4 overs, Kohli and Patidar scored 5,3,9, and 15 runs and after 10 overs RCB were at 75/1. Virat Kohli completed his half-century off 45 balls, including 6 fours and one six and he batted with a strike rate of 113.33. Kohli also had an incredible 99 runs partnership off 74 balls with Rajat Patidar before Patidar got out in the 15th over.
