The IPL 2022 final will be played between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 29. This is the third time both these teams will play each other in the season. GT has won both the previous two games.

Gujarat Titans were one of the two new teams who made their debut in IPL 2022. In their very first season, they topped the league stage and are playing the finals as well. The side is led by Hardik Pandya who has drawn a lot of accolades for his proactive captaincy. He has managed to bring out the best of all the players and David Miller’s rise as a finisher has been the biggest example.

They did not make too many changes throughout the leaguer stage and had a settled XI heading into the first qualifier. They would like to back the same XI to do the job in the final as well. In this article, we take a look at Gujarat Titans’ predicted playing XI against RR for the IPL 2022 final.

Wriddhiman Saha was out for a duck in the first qualifier. However, he has been a consistent performer inside the powerplay for GT. He will open the batting alongside Shubman Gill. So far in the season, Saha has scored 312 runs.

Shubman Gill

Gill has an opportunity to cross 500 runs this season. So far he has scored 438 runs with four fifty-plus scores. He has been a rock at the top for the Gujarat Titans this season.

Matthew Wade

This IPL season has been a disappointing one for the Australian southpaw. So far he has scored just 149 runs at an average of 16.56 and a strike rate of 116.40 with his highest score being 35. However, he has been continuously backed by the franchise and will be backed in the final as well.

Hardik Pandya

Pandya himself has a chance to get to 500 runs. If he does this will be his first season with 500 or more runs So far he has scored 453 runs with four fifty-plus scores as well.

David Miller

Miller is the designated finisher for the side. He took them home in the first qualifier and helped them get to the final straightaway. Miller has scored 449 runs with two fifty-plus scores so far.

Rahul Tewatia

Tewatia was not needed with both bat and ball in the first qualifier. However, he has been a utility cricketer for the side along with Miller and Rashid Khan with the bat. Together they helped the side win a few close games.

Rashid Khan

The Afghan spinner is on 18 wickets so far in the season. He has been miserly with his economy and in the first Qualifier he gave away just 15 runs in his four overs. The Royals batsmen will be wary of him in the final.

R Sai Kishore

The Tamil Nadu spinner was a part of the Gujarat Titans playing XI in the first qualifier. He was a touch expensive going for 43 runs off his spell.

Yash Dayal

The left-arm seamer has been preferred over someone like Pradeep Sangwan who is far more experienced. However, Hardik as a skipper has been able to bring the best out of him. He has taken 10 wickets in the season so far.

Alzarri Joseph / Lockie Ferguson

Joseph was picked over Ferguson in the first qualifier in Kolkata. He bowled just two overs for 27 runs. Skipper Hardik Pandya has a choice between the two pacers for the final.

Mohammed Shami

Shami concludes GT’s predicted playing XI for the IPL 2022 final against Rajasthan Royals. He has picked up 18 wickets for the Titans so far and would like to give his best in the final.
