From sitting at second from the bottom of the table, KKR went on to reach the final. Venkatesh Iyer opened the innings for the franchise and scored 370 runs in 10 matches at an average of 41.11.

Ahead of a 2022 edition of the IPL, Venkatesh Iyer will be key to KKR’s fortune. Once again, he will have a big role to play for the team and the fans would want him to deliver great results with the bat.

2. Shreyas Iyer

Kolkata Knight Riders managed to rope in Shreyas Iyer for a whopping amount of 12.25 crores at the IPL 2022 Mega Auctions. Add to that, he has also been appointed as their new skipper for the upcoming edition of IPL. Shreyas Iyer is coming into the tournament on the back of impressive performances for India.

He played match-defining knocks and finished as the highest run-getter in the T20 series against Sri Lanka. He followed it up with notable performances in the Test series. Iyer would be brimming with confidence and might end up as the highest run-getter this season.

Nitish Rana has been a prolific run-scorer for KKR, over the years. He wasn’t retained by the franchise and managed to bring him back into the team after making the highest bid for him at the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. Nitish Rana has been scoring runs consistently in IPL and expectations, once again, will be high on him. He scored 383 runs in 17 matches last year at an average of close to 30.
