IPL 2022 Auction: Deepak Hooda Upgraded To Capped Category, Increases Base Price To 75L From 20L

Indian all-rounder Deepak Hooda has been upgraded to the capped category in the revised list of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 player auction list was announced on February 1 by the BCCI and in total 590 cricketers were shortlisted from the original list of 1214 players to go under the auction hammer on February 12 and 13 at Hotel ITC Gardenia in Bengaluru.

However, 10 new uncapped players, have been included in the auction list. The players include Aaron Hardie, Lance Morris, Nivethan Radhakrishnan, Agnivesh Ayachi, Hardik Tamore, K Nitish Reddy, Mihir Hirwani, Monu Singh and Roha Rana, Sairaj Patil.

Deepak Hooda Increases His Base Price To 75L From 20L

Indian all-rounder Deepak Hooda, who made his International debut in the three-match One Day International series against West Indies National Cricket Team, has increased his base price from INR 20 lakh (USD 26,000 approx) to INR 75 lakh (USD 99,000 approx).

Deepak Hooda made his debut on Sunday, February 6 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad and former Indian captain Virat Kohli handed over Deepak Hooda his One Day International debut cap.

Indian batting all-rounder Deepak Hooda played two games for India in the series before getting dropped in the third ODI. He scored 26* runs in the first match and 29 runs in the second game, he also picked his maiden international wicket in the second ODI.

Meanwhile, Deepak Hooda has played for teams like Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Punjab Kings (PBKS), and Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and scored 785 runs in 80 games at an average of 16.7 and strike rate of 129.5.
