Brad Hogg, a former Australian left-arm spinner, believes the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have the perfect top-three batsmen in IPL 2022. He believes that Anuj Rawat, who is still young, should continue to open, and that Virat Kohli is better suited to No. 3.

In all of the IPL 2022 matches that RCB has played so far, skipper Faf du Plessis and Rawat have started the batting for the team. They’ve had varying levels of success. When Kohli was captain of Bangalore last season, he opened the batting.

According to Brad Hogg, the franchise does not need to modify its starting lineup this season. He emphasized that if Rawat finishes third, things will be more difficult for him. Hogg continued, ”

“Virat Kohli’s position at No. 3 is ideal. If Anuj Rawat bats at No. 3 and takes an early wicket, he will be put under even more strain. That’s something you don’t want.”

The batting order of the franchise impressed Brad Hogg:

In Tuesday’s IPL 2022 match, Bangalore was defeated by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 23 runs after faltering while pursuing 217 runs. Hogg, on the other hand, believes RCB have a strong batting lineup that will help them win the championship.

Brad Hogg stated, “The Royals have a well-balanced lineup. I like Rawat, especially with Du Plessis at the top of the list. Because he has Du Plessis and Kohli around him, Rawat can play freely and without much pressure.”

The Australian went on to say about the depth of RCB’s batting unit “Their batting order has a lot of depth.” Maxwell is likely to bat at No. 4 most of the time. Karthik (Dinesh) is being employed as a floater. If they are under pressure at the 10-over mark, they have all-rounders who can bat in front of Karthik. Karthik comes in if they don’t lose wickets.”

After losing to CSK, Bangalore will attempt to bounce back against the Delhi Capitals (DC) on April 16 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
