Many T20 legends have represented KKR in IPL over the years, the likes of Chris Gayle, Brendon McCullum, Sourav Ganguly, Jacques Kallis. The last time we saw these players play was a long time ago. The West Indian legend Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, Suresh Raina, and many more players whom people used to watch are not part of this year’s IPL and probably their stint in the league is over. There are a few more players who could get added to this list by the end of this year’s IPL.
It all depends on time and only time will say which players will be part of the upcoming IPL and probably a few players who could be playing their last IPL season and might never play again. The KKR team is an experienced team filled with international stars and they are out testing their skills in the IPL. The three players from KKR who could be playing their last IPL season.
3 KKR Players For Whom This Could Be The Last Tournament
Mohammad Nabi

The man who was part of the Afghanistan Cricket team for over a decade and has played a crucial part in the development and growth of Cricket in Afghanistan. Nabi has had a god-run IPL representing SRH and he was released ahead of IPL auction 2022 and is part of the KKR team for the season 2022. Nabi’s poor performances in the last season of IPL have put his IPL career in jeopardy and if Nabi fails to perform in this year’s IPL probably this could be the last time we see the ace afghan rounder playing in IPL.
Nabi has played 17 IPL matches and has scored 180 runs and picked up 13 wickets. Over the five seasons. The four foreign player limit hasn’t allowed teams to pick Nabi in the squad due to the team combinations which has affected his IPL career. Nabi is 37 years old and his age can play a factor in his career as he is on the verge of his cricketing career. Teams would rather prefer youngsters over him.
Umesh Yadav
He hasn’t played a game in IPL 2021 and was bought by KKR the team with which he won an IPL title and was in the best of form. This IPL could potentially be Yadav’s last opportunity in IPL. If he fails to perform then it could be the last time that we see him playing in IPL. Over the last three years, he has picked up 8 wickets. In his career, he has 119 IPL wickets to his tally.
Tim Southee

The New Zealand fast bowler is the master of swing bowling and he can swing both ways. Southee hasn’t had much success in IPL. His poor performances at the death have affected teams a lot and the conditions in India don’t favour his bowling. He has struggled to deliver in IPL. This IPL could probably be Southee’s last IPL and the last time we could see him play if he fails to perform as teams move on looking for new players who are in form and bringing in that additional advantage to the team.
Southee is 33 years old and he is one of the fittest bowlers. But the lack of performances in crunch situations has put his spot in danger. He has picked only 31 wickets in the 43 matches he has played which show that he hasn’t been able to pick at least one wicket per match.
