IPL 2022 Final: Dinesh Karthik Congratulates Hardik Pandya For Leading Gujarat Titans To Maiden IPL Title

Dinesh Karthik had an IPL season to remember personally with him scoring 330 runs in the season with a strike rate of over 180 and he was unbeaten on 10 occasions. His consistent performance in the IPL led him to his return to the Indian team at the age of 36.

Karthik took the opportunity to congratulate Hardik Pandya after he led his side to their maiden IPL title by beating Rajasthan Royals in the final. Karthik congratulated GT for winning the title and the Royals for making it to the final after 14 seasons.

Hardik was also quick to acknowledge the contribution of his teammates on their journey to winning the IPL title. Throughout the season he was very vocal about his teammates doing the job for him and his team.

“The kind of support the support staff has shown for the players is wonderful. This is the right example for every team in the world that if you can play as a team, you can do wonders. I and Ashu pa are similar in terms of thinking. We like to have proper bowlers who can win matches on their own” he said after the game.

Both Karthik and Hardik have been great friends over time and will be seen donning the Indian jersey together for the upcoming T20I series against South Africa. While this is a return to remember for Dinesh Karthik, Pandya will also make a comeback to the Indian team for the first time since the T20 World Cup in the UAE.

He had a final to remember as he was chosen the Man of the Match for taking three wickets and scoring an unbeaten 34 with the bat.
