IPL 2022 Final: Rahul Tewatia Heaps Praise On Gujarat Titans Captain Hardik Pandya, Head Coach Ashish Nehra

Gujarat Titans all-rounder Rahul Tewatia appreciated the team’s leadership unit comprising skipper Hardik Pandya and head coach Ashish Nehra.

Gujarat Titans cemented their spot in the IPL 2022 final in their maiden season with the seven-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 1. David Miller blasted with his fireworks in the final over to take RR past the finishing line.

Miller smashed Prasidh Krishna for three successive sixes as Gujarat Titans needed 16 runs in the final six deliveries.
Miller was involved in an unseparated 106-run stand with Hardik, who hit 40 in 27 balls.

Hardik is leading any team for the first time in competitive cricket while Nehra previously worked with Royal Challengers Bangalore as their bowling coach for two seasons (2019-2020).

Tewatia heaped praise on the combination of Hardik and Nehra for Gujarat Titans’ astounding campaign in IPL 2022.

Hardik as a captain has been at his best and Ashish Nehra as a coach has been a surprise for everybody,” Tewatia told Times Now.

Gujarat Titans have different match-winners in each game like Tewatia smashing two sixes on the last two deliveries against Odean Smith. Vice-captain Rashid Khan supporting David Miller to pull off a spectacular run chase against Chennai Super Kings.

Rashid also stood tall in the crunch situation when Titans needed 15 runs in four balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The Afghanistan star clobbered three sixes off Marco Jansen to pull off another heist.

Lockie Ferguson claimed 4/28 against Delhi Capitals and Mohammed Shami’s incredible 3/25 in their opening game against LSG.

In the IPL 2022 final, Gujarat Titans will play the winners of Qualifier 2 between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
