Andre Russell is a fantastic player to watch in the IPL, and he can play aggressive cricket in every aspect of the game, as per Aaron Finch.

Aaron Finch started the ground running in just his second game of the season, coming off a 28-ball 58 in a high-scoring run chase against Rajasthan Royals.

Dre Russ, as he is called among fans, came to popularity as a result of his power-hitting and all-around dominance. He created a name for himself in the IPL for KKR in 2015, when he was named MVP after hitting 392 runs at a strike rate of 192 and taking 14 wickets.

His batting exploits against RCB last year, when he scored 48* runs off 13 balls to take KKR to a big victory, are just one of many jaw-dropping innings he has had to provide Knight Riders fans. Remember his blitzkrieg in Chepauk in 2018 vs Chennai Super Kings? His 36-ball 88 is still considered one of his best IPL innings.

Andre Russell is just ridiculously powerful: Aaron Finch

In a YouTube interview with KKR, Aaron Finch, a part of the KKR squad for the IPL2022 season, was questioned about Andre Russell.

Q: What are your thoughts on Andre Russell?

Finch: I’ve played with him in the Big Bash previously. He’s a fantastic player who generates a lot of enthusiasm. He can bowl fast and hit the ball far. People enter through the gates to keep an eye on him. He’s great to have on your team since he can change the game with the ball or bat. He’s just ridiculously powerful.
