Chennai Super Kings (CSK) CEO Kasi Viswanathan mentioned the reason behind Ambati Rayudu’s retirement announcement from IPL.
On Saturday (May 14), the Chennai Super Kings middle-order batter took to his official Twitter handle to announce his retirement from the cash-rich league at the end of IPL 2022.
“I am happy to announce that this will be my last IPL. I have had a wonderful time playing it and being part of 2 great teams for 13 years.
“Would like to sincerely thank Mumbai Indians and Csk for the wonderful journey,” he tweeted on Saturday.

Minutes after his sudden announcement, Rayudu deleted the tweet from his Twitter timeline.
The CSK CEO confirmed Rayudu won’t be leaving the four-time IPL champions and possibly tweeted over his poor run in IPL 2022.
“No no he’s not retiring. Maybe he wasn’t happy with his performances and might have put it out. Just a psychological thing, I reckon. He’ll be with us,” Viswanathan clarified, as reported by News 9 journalist Subhayan Chakraborty.
