Shreyas Iyer, the new captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders, has expressed his eagerness to meet the team’s owner, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
During the press conference, Iyer had a fanboy moment, admitting that he would go a bit crazy if he meets him because he has loved him for a long time.
Shreyas Iyer will begin a new era in the Indian Premier League (IPL) after being signed by the two-time champion Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) ahead of the 2022 season after playing for the Delhi franchise for seven years.
Iyer was purchased by KKR for INR 12.25 crore and will look to duplicate his performances at Delhi Capitals with the Knight Riders as he enters the IPL 2022 on the heels of a stellar run of international cricket across all forms.

Iyer was delighted to meet Bollywood icon and KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan as he looked forward to the 15th season of the cash-rich league. Iyer said he’s idolized the 56-year-old for a long period and thinks he’ll go insane if he sees him.
