IPL 2022: Rahul Chahar, who is a part of the Punjab Kings’ franchise for the 2022 season of the Indian Premier League thinks it’s a privilege for him to be working with Anil Kumble.

Anil Kumble is the highest wicket-taker for India in Test cricket with 619 scalps to his name. Overall he has 956 international wickets to his name.
Jumbo, as he is popularly called has been with Punjab Kings’ for quite some time now. He has previously worked with Mumbai Indians in the IPL and was part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore set-up at one point.
As captain, he led RCB to the 2009 finals of the IPL.
He also had a stint as the national coach for a year before being replaced by Ravi Shastri in 2017, after the conclusion of the Champions Trophy.
Kumble has always been regarded as one of the greats of the game so it’s no surprise that youngsters, particularly leg spinners would want to get as many inputs from him as they can.
Rahul Chahar, in a recent interview with Times of India, said, “After every net session, it’s a privilege to be working with Kumble sir. I speak to him every day on a particular topic. The process is ongoing and I’m learning from him everyday. He is a legend of the game and his bowling tips help me a lot. I’m using every opportunity I get to learn from him.”
Chahar has been one of the instrumental bowlers for PBKS in the season so far. He has picked up 7 wickets in 4 games so far and is the leading wicket-taker for his team this season so far.
Punjab Kings’ would hope that Chahar continues to be in good form with the ball as they as the team feels that they really have a chance to go all the way this time around.
