Shubman Gill, the GT batsman who provided his team a flying start in the final, expressed his delight at the opportunity to play in front of his home crowd.
On Sunday, May 29, the Gujarat Titans will participate in the Indian Premier League championship in front of their home crowd at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Gujarat raced into the final on Tuesday, 24 May, after dominating the tournament and winning the group stage. David Miller blasted three sixes in the first three balls of the last over to get GT across the line in a frantic IPL playoff encounter at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Gujarat has been outstanding under Hardik Pandya’s guidance, accumulating 453 runs in the competition. Every department has had match winners, with players like Wriddhiman Saha, David Miller, Rashid Khan, and Rahul Tewatia stepping up when needed.

After the encounter, GT opener Shubman Gill, who provided his squad a flying start in the final, expressed his delight at the chance to participate in front of his home crowd.
The Narendra Modi stadium, which has a potential of one lakh people and is comparable to the legendary Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia, is likely to be filled.
“I heard Ahmedabad is going to have a massive full stadium?” In the post-match interview, man of the match David Miller asked Shubman a question.
“I’m quite enthusiastic. I’ve never played in front of a crowd of over a lakh people, and it’ll be incredible, and the environment can be something we can draw off of. As a result, we’re hoping for a wonderful game.”
In Tuesday’s (May 24) Qualifier 1 game, the Titans defeated the Rajasthan Royals (RR) by seven wickets with three balls in spare. The tournament final will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, which is home to the IPL newcomers.
